     First, in goes the pump.  Here we are using a MiniJet 404 pump.  The 404 is a very quiet and reliable pump.  It comes with suction cups for the bottom, be sure and use them as they will help keep it quiet.
     The 404 has an adjustable output so that it can be used in many different sized fountains.  Adjust the pump to a medium setting.
     Place the pump so that the outlet is approximately in the center of the bowl.
