Deal with a reputable small business. We have been selling Fountec online for 10 years and in our shop, The Good Life, in Cannon Beach, Oregon, for almost 15 years.

Mix one drop per gallon or 1/2 teaspoon per 100 gallons each week to maintain clarity and keep black, yellow, or green algae out of your fountain. You may have to use a double dose, or even more to start with, depending on how much algae is in your fountain.
Properly mixed, Fountec is safe for birds, plants, and pets, but not for fish.

Our fountains are supposed to inspire relaxation. Some people find tinkering with them and cleaning them relaxing and some do not. If you wish you didn't have to clean your fountain regularly, maybe you should try using Fountec. It is a simple and inexpensive solution to algae and slime problems.
