About the Wild Bird Shop

    Janet & Brian co-own WildBirdShop.com and also our physical store called The Good Life shop, and thegoodlifeshop.com. 

    We first opened the real Wild Bird Shop in November of 1993 after a few very hectic weeks of preparation.  Neither of us had ever owned a retail business of any kind before this, but we had energy, brains, an independent streak, and a love of birds, nature and the great outdoors.  Our store reflected that love for many years, but our customers' tastes have changed greatly over the years.  We adapted and adapted until we really weren't a wild bird store anymore.  We renamed our store to The Good Life in mid-2007.  We will continue to change and adapt along with our customers.

    We are lucky to have two very good employees, Bern and Janet C, who have been with us for quite a few years now.  Another, Maxine, works part time and we're looking for summer help, too (in case you are looking for a job!)

    If you are in Cannon Beach we hope you will stop in and say "hi." 

Store Hours

Open 7 Days a week
Saturday - 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Sunday through Friday - 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM
(We are at the beach, so these hours are flexible.  Some mornings we may be a few minutes late arriving, many days we will remain open later than the posted hours.)
